We are celebrating 40 years

Last Friday was a very special day at Licores y Derivados, S.A. as we celebrated our 40th anniversary.

To commemorate this significant date, we organized a gathering at our facilities where all company employees could come together to share refreshments in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It was a time to remember the company's beginnings, reminisce about anecdotes, and pay tribute to all the people who have been part of this story over the past four decades.

During the meeting, we also paid special tribute to those employees who, although no longer with us on a daily basis, have contributed with their effort and dedication to building what our company is today.

After this emotional appetizer, the celebration continued with a group meal where we were able to continue sharing memories, experiences, and good times with our colleagues.

Turning 40 is a very important milestone for our company, and we would like to thank everyone who has been and continues to be part of this great family. Thanks to your hard work, commitment, and passion, Licores y Derivados continues to grow and look to the future with enthusiasm.

At Licores y Derivados, we continue to make steady progress in our commitment to the environment through our THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE initiative.

Today we present our new range of cardboard boxes, designed with a clear objective: to reduce environmental impact without compromising the quality and image of our products.

To this end, we have made two important decisions:
– Reducing the number of inks used in printing, optimizing the process, and decreasing resource consumption.
– Using only FSC-certified cardboard, ensuring that it comes from responsibly and sustainably managed forests.

It may seem like a small change, but we believe in the value of simple gestures that, when added together, have a real impact. Each box represents a more conscious way of producing, distributing, and caring for our environment.

In them, we wanted to reflect our commitment with a clear message:

"...it's a very simple gesture that helps the environment. We think about the future, but a sustainable future."

Solar energy installation

Licores y Derivados promotes its environmental commitment with the installation of solar energy

At Licores y Derivados, we continue to take firm steps forward with our THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE initiative, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our industrial activity.

As part of this plan, we have installed a photovoltaic solar energy system for self-consumption at our facilities in the Polígono Industrial Oeste industrial park in San Ginés (Murcia). This investment represents a decisive step toward a more efficient and responsible energy model that is aligned with caring for the environment.

The solar plant has an approximate power of 47 kWp, consisting of 106 high-efficiency monocrystalline modules and a state-of-the-art inverter, allowing us to generate a significant portion of the energy consumed by our factory from renewable sources.

Thanks to this installation, we are significantly reducing our CO₂ emissions, optimizing energy consumption, and moving towards a more sustainable production model, in line with European energy transition and industrial efficiency objectives.

This action is part of our vision for the future: to produce responsibly, innovate conscientiously, and improve our processes every day to minimize our environmental footprint.

At Licores y Derivados, we understand that sustainability is not a one-off action, but an ongoing commitment. Every investment, every improvement, and every decision is part of the same goal: to build a more efficient, more responsible company that is prepared for future generations.

Licores y Derivados obtains carbon footprint calculation certification

At Licores y Derivados, we reaffirm our commitment to the environment and the fight against climate change by obtaining the official carbon footprint calculation seal, a recognition that certifies our efforts to measure and manage the environmental impact of our activity.

The company has registered with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge's Carbon Footprint, Offsetting, and CO₂ Absorption Projects Registry, thus taking a decisive step toward more responsible, transparent, and sustainable business management.

This recognition involves assessing and calculating the emissions generated by our activity, allowing us to set improvement targets and progressive reduction plans that contribute to minimizing our impact on the environment. Measuring our emissions is the first step toward reducing them, and thereby moving toward a more efficient and environmentally friendly production model.
